Gather the photos, one small step at a time.

You do not need a perfect archive. Start with the pictures that bring their life and personality to mind.

1. Choose one family contact

Ask one person to collect the pictures, confirm names and dates, and arrange the final order. Invite relatives to send a few favorites by a date you agree together.

A message you can adapt

“We’re gathering photos for the tribute. Please send a few favorites, ideally the original files, and tell us roughly when they were taken. Pictures of everyday moments are welcome too. Please send them to the family contact by our agreed date.”

2. Find a few moments from each part of their life

Childhood, school days and early friendships.
Family, partners and important gatherings.
Work, service, hobbies and places they loved.
Quiet routines, laughter, pets and time with friends.
Recent memories and a favorite photo for the beginning or end.

A short, thoughtful collection can work beautifully. Ask the venue how much time is available. At Quiet Tribute’s standard pace, 50 photos run about 3 minutes 12 seconds; 100 run about 6 minutes 17 seconds.

3. Prepare clear digital copies

Use original digital files when available. Repeated screenshots and message-app copies may lose detail.
For printed photos, use a scanner or a clear phone photograph. Put the print flat in even light, keep the phone parallel, and check for glare before taking the picture.
Rotate and crop carefully. Keep important people in the picture. Open each saved copy to check that it looks right.
Save in a supported format. Quiet Tribute accepts JPG, PNG and WebP, up to 50 MB per photo and 2 GB for the order. Convert HEIC files to JPG before uploading.
Keep the originals. Make a separate folder for the versions you plan to upload.

Both portrait and landscape photos are welcome. Our framing examples show how each fits in the finished video. Small images may look soft on a large screen; you will be able to review flagged photos before production continues.

4. Choose the sequence together

A loose timeline is easy to follow. You can also group photos around relationships, places or interests. Remove accidental duplicates, then arrange the exact sequence in your private upload page.

Confirm the spelling of the opening name and any dates in the title or subtitle. Choose one of the included music tracks, an audio file you have permission to use, or a silent video.

Before you place the order

Tick these as you prepare. You can print a copy to share with the family contact.

We have chosen one contact and approver. We know the gathering’s date, time, time zone and available playback length. We have selected 1 to 150 photos and kept our originals. The files are JPG, PNG or WebP and open correctly. We have agreed the photo order, opening name and any dates. We have a music choice or prefer silence. We have left time for the first version, review and venue testing. We have read the price, scope and service terms.
