For your family

Memorial slideshow length and photo count

Start with the time your family and venue have available. Then choose the memories that fit, without feeling you have to include every photograph.

How long should a memorial slideshow be?

Ask the person arranging the service where the tribute fits: a moment everyone watches together, or a video playing while guests arrive. A focused selection may suit a scheduled moment; a longer collection may suit an informal gathering. Confirm the available time before you order.

Quiet Tribute uses about 3.7 seconds per photo, plus an opening and a closing card. At that pace, these are the approximate finished lengths:

Quiet Tribute’s standard photo pacing
PhotosApproximate video length
301 minute 58 seconds
503 minutes 12 seconds
754 minutes 45 seconds
1006 minutes 17 seconds
1509 minutes 22 seconds

You can submit fewer than 30 photos; the service accepts 1–150. The 44-second example uses ten photos and two title cards. Our standard service does not offer custom timing for individual photos.

Choose photos that tell their story

  1. Gather a few from each part of their life. Consider childhood, friendships, family, work, favorite places, and the everyday things they loved.
  2. Invite a small contribution from relatives. Ask each person for a few meaningful photos. Choose one family contact to collect them and resolve duplicates.
  3. Choose an order. A timeline is easy to follow, but grouping by people or interests can work too. Arrange the exact sequence on the private upload page.
  4. Check the opening words together. Confirm the name, optional subtitle, and any dates you include before finalizing.

Prepare files for upload

Use JPG, PNG, or WebP files, up to 50 MB each and 2 GB for the whole order. Convert HEIC files to JPG first. Choose the original photo or a clear scan when available; screenshots and small images may look soft on a large screen. Photos keep their proportions against a soft background.

The upload process can flag small or similar photos for your review. Resolve those choices and submit complete, usable details to start production. Photo restoration and video clips are outside the service.

Leave time to review

The $149 service includes the finished full HD video, a smaller backup, music choices, and one combined revision. Your first version is due within four hours of confirmed payment and complete, usable intake. Allow extra time to review it with your family and test it at the venue.
