For your family

Play your tribute at the gathering

A short test with the venue can prevent a stressful surprise. Download your videos, agree who will handle playback, and try the exact equipment before the day.

1. Confirm the venue’s requirements

Ask the funeral director or person arranging the gathering:

Quiet Tribute supplies a 1920 × 1080 MP4 and a smaller 1280 × 720 backup. The picture is widescreen, in a 16:9 shape. Equipment varies, so file format alone does not guarantee playback.

2. Download both files while your link is active

Save the full HD video and the backup before the deadline shown on your private delivery page. Open the downloaded files to check that they saved correctly. Keep another copy on a separate device or storage drive, using the format your venue requests.

Your private delivery link is temporary. The downloaded videos are yours to keep; permanent online hosting and a physical USB drive are not included.

3. Test the picture and sound together

  1. Use the actual equipment. Test the venue’s player, screen, connections, and speakers.
  2. Watch the whole video. Check the opening name, photo order, sound level, and final card. Ask someone to check visibility and sound from the back of the room.
  3. Try the backup. Confirm the smaller 720p file also opens and plays. It is a second option if the full HD file is too demanding for the setup.
  4. Prepare the playback device. Connect power, disable notifications and screen sleep for the gathering, and confirm the audio output. Let the venue operator handle its equipment settings.

4. Agree on the moment

Tell the person running the service whether guests should watch together or whether the video is for arrival or a reception. Confirm the cue to start, whether to repeat it, and what happens when it ends. Repeating playback is a setting on the venue’s player.

If you chose a silent tribute or there will be live music, agree who handles that audio separately. If your tribute includes music, avoid accidentally playing a second recording over it.

If something needs changing

Collect your family’s feedback into one request and use the revision option on the private delivery page before its displayed cutoff. Save both revised files and repeat the venue test. Allow time for this before the gathering; venue operation and equipment setup are outside our service.
